Bandit is a 12 year old Rottweiler-mix that receives a new cancer treatment through ACI called antiangiogenic therapy. Antiangiogenic therapy blocks the blood supply to tumors like Bandit's squamous cell carcinoma of the mouth. The therapy that Bandit receives is referred to as peptides of Thrombospondin-1 (TSP-1) which are forms of antiangiogenic therapy. |
