Newly Diagnosed Canine Lymphoma Trial Using COP chemotherapy Plus an Antiangiogenic Agent, an Oral PARP inhibitor, or Placebo
Target Accrual= 36 cases (Antiangiogenic), 72 cases (PARP inhibitor or Placebo)
Study Rationale – Studies with both compounds have resulted in favorable responses in animals with cancer

Eligibility:
- Histological diagnosis of newly diagnosed lymphoma
- Measurable lymph node enlargement – all stages accepted
- No prior treatment with lymphoma targeted chemotherapy or prednisone therapy.
- No prior antiangiogenic therapy.
- No concurrent medical disorders, which are likely to result in death within 4 months.
Trial Support: Owners are responsible for the initial consultation fee, CBC, Chemistry and Urinalysis. The trial drug/placebo, chemotherapy, and all follow-up examinations and study-required diagnostics are funded

Thrombospondin-I antiangiogenic peptide for dogs with multiple myeloma
Study Rationale- 4/4 dogs with soft tissue plasmacytomas treated with TSP-1 peptide had objective and durable responses.
Status: Closed
Eligibility:
- Measurable, cytological or histological confirmed multiple myeloma and hypergammaglobulinemia +/- bone tumor
- No radiation therapy within 21 days of trial entry
- Prednisone or NSAID therapy permitted if introduced at least 2 weeks before trial entry
- No previous antiangiogenic therapy
Trial Support: Owner is responsible for referral examination and CBC/Chemistry/UA at initial study visit. Study provides full support for radiographs, bone marrow aspirate/biopsy, abdominal ultrasound, serum protein electrophoresis, study drug and recheck examinations as required by study protocol. Dogs enrolled in this study are evaluated monthly.

Genetics Study of Canine Osteosarcoma
Study Rationale
Certain breeds seem to be predisposed to the development of osteosarcoma. The AKC Canine Health Foundation, in cooperation with the AMC Cancer Research Center and Animal Clinical Investigation, is funding a study to determine the genetic basis of these cancers.
Eligibility
- Golden Retrievers, Rottweilers, Scottish Deerhounds, and Mastiffs
- Other breeds may be eligible upon approval
- Osteosarcoma diagnosis without any metastatic disease.
- At least two unaffected first degree relatives of the affected dog (includes siblings, parents and offspring)
Trial Support
- $150 to the owner towards the cost of the biopsy (associated with amputation). Histopathology and shipping of samples (an approximate value of $130) will be performed at no charge by the AMC Cancer Research Center
